ZTE became the first phone maker to announce an Android 4.0 phone powered by an Intel processor. The ZTE Grand X IN features an Intel Atom Z2460 processor and will be the "flagship handset" from the Chinese company. ZTE will begin selling the Grand X IN in Europe this September, though specific pricing and market availability has not yet been announced.

The ZTE Grand X IN has a 4.3 inch qHD (960x640) LCD screen, 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot that supports up to 32GB. It also has an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and HSPA+ 21 Mbps connectivity. The Intel processor lacks the industry clout or notoriety as chipsets from Qualcomm, NVIDIA, and Texas Instruments, but Intel claims that its processor is powerful and efficient. The chip has been designed to support NFC, a variety of 2G and 3G bands, and works efficiently with the Grand X IN's 1650 mAh battery.
