ROCKFORD ? The Rockford Park District announced at a press conference on Aug. 23 that Steven Benjamin, John Alastair Robertson and the Tiger Woods Foundation are the newest inductees to the 2012 Rockford Area Golf Hall of Fame and will be honored at the Golf Hall of Fame Play Day and Induction Ceremony Dinner on Sept. 24.
The Hall of Fame Play Day will begin at 10 a.m. at Aldeen Golf Club, 1902 Reid Farm Road, Rockford. Cost is $100, which includes dinner.
The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Dinner will begin with a social hour and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center, 200 S. Bell School Road, Rockford. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., keynote speaker Wendy Ward will present at 7 p.m., and the Induction Ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $50; corporate tables for 10 people are available and include dinner, hole sponsorship and recognition in the awards program.
