PSA: Sprint's LTE-infused Galaxy Nexus now available online and in stores

sprint galaxy nexus

Google itself may have thrown the pricing situation out of whack by offering up a contract-free GSM version of Samsung's Galaxy Nexus for just $399, but those adhering to Sprint's plans can't make use of that, anyway. The other CDMA / LTE-infused Galaxy Nexus is now shipping from Sprint, several months ahead of its first LTE rollout. $199.99 on a two-year contract nets you a device, while you can snag one for $549.99 sans any strings. It's also available in stores nationwide for those who'd prefer to try before they buy, and yes, Sprint users who activate a Google Wallet account within a week of activation will receive a $10 instant credit and an additional $40 within three weeks. Just try to ignore that Galaxy S III that'll launch next month, okay? (It's not a pure Google device, anyway.)

O2 confirms it'll stock 'next Galaxy', references to 'Galaxy S3' in official app keep us guessing

Android Central

Following yesterday's 'next Galaxy' revelations from Vodafone, O2 UK has confirmed that it'll also be carrying Samsung's upcoming (and as yet unnamed) flagship smartphone for 2012. Again, we're not too surprised, as in the UK it's the norm that major handsets like the 'next Galaxy' appear on all major networks.

In related news, references to a "Galaxy S3" have been spotted within the listing for the Samsung Mobile Unpacked app that was released last night. The name is tucked away in a list of keywords at the bottom of the description in the Google Play Store. This is far from confirmation of the official name, but it's yet another piece of the puzzle, and it wouldn't be the first time an "Unpacked" app has provided hints about future Samsung products. In any case, we can bet Samsung will keep us guessing over the next week, as the May 3 announcement approaches.

Nicki Minaj's 'Starships' Video 'May Be Too Saucy For TV'

Rapper says the clip is done and should drop next week.

Apparently, getting it just right is more important than keeping it especially timely.

Nicki Minaj's smash single "Starships" has been burning up the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks now, peaking at #5 a few weeks back and currently holding it down at #7. The pop-dance track was the official lead single ("Roman Holiday" and "Stupid Hoe" were promo singles) from her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which debuted at #1 two weeks back.

All of which makes the fact that there's been no official video release for the buzz-heavy track seem all the more glaring. Heck, she's already released the video for "Beez in the Trap," technically the album's third single after "Starships" and "Right by My Side" featuring Chris Brown.

So when will we finally see the "Starships" video? Pretty soon, according to Minaj.

"It's officially done," Nicki told the U.K.'s Capital FM. "There was just one tiny little thing I wanted to change, but I know at the beginning of next week you guys will see it."

But watch out, Nicki warns: "It may be too saucy for TV."

Pictures of the rap/pop superstar hard at work on the clip surfaced in mid-March, showing Nicki looking amazing while sporting green hair and a pink bikini as she filmed in an exotic location.

At the time, Minaj told MTV News that seeing girls sporting her unique style has been an exciting byproduct of her fame. "I guess I am pop culture, just because what I'm doing seems to be popular. When people want to do what you're doing, it's kinda popular," she said. "I don't ask girls to wear pink hair; they just do it. It's not about black or white; I think it's just a statement. It doesn't matter which color you are; it's just a statement of being fearless."

'Twilight' Star's Nude Photo Scandal Rare For Young Cast

Kiowa Gordon's leaked pics might seem standard for young Hollywood, but 'Twilight' Tuesday notes that the cast has largely avoided scandal.

With all the glitz and glamour associated with being a young celebrity in Hollywood, it's hard to imagine there are any cons to fame and fortune. It's safe to say that one of the more precarious aspects of being universally recognized is the fact that any time a celebrity does anything worth a tweet, photograph or snarky comment, they have the potential to generate many a headline.

The amount of news coverage a star commands depends, of course, on the level of public interest, for which the minute details in the lives of Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian and the "Twilight" cast are of great importance.

A lot of the newer stars find out about their headline-generating factor the hard way, as has been the case with Kiowa Gordon and a batch of private photos that were posted to a pornographic website. Never mind the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the incident; by all appearances, Gordon is doing his best to resolve the matter and move on. The "nude photos discovered" headline is so prevalent in pop culture that it's almost expected.

Speaking of expectations, because there are so many ways in which a young celeb might be photographed doing something naughty — they're teenagers, for cryin' out loud! — I think we can all take a moment to appreciate the fact that on the whole, the entire "Twilight" cast has done an excellent job in upholding the ideals associated with their role-model statues. There have been a few leaked photos here and there but no evidence of any kind of truly inappropriate behavior that is often associated with young stars. It really is an amazing feat when you think about how many young actors we're talking about and how scrutinized they are. When I think about some of the dumb things I did in my teens, I thank my lucky stars that Facebook and Twitter were not around. I can't even begin to think about how difficult it would be to navigate as a young celebrity.

So as much as we love to obsess over our favorite stars, let's try to not sweat the small stuff and appreciate them for being worthy of our continued admiration.

Why do you think the "Twilight" cast has largely avoided the typical pitfalls of young fame? Let us know in the comments or tweet me @karawarner!
